Ten Students Brawling at Chickasaw High School Causes Lockdown

CHICKASAW, AL. Authorities say that a physical altercation this morning caused a lockdown at Chickasaw High School this morning.
A fight between at least ten students led administrators to lock down the entire campus on Wednesday, September 24, 2026.
It is unknown if the school has a school resource officer, but Chickasaw police responded to the incident immediately.
According to Chickasaw Police Chief Eugene Parker, a group of students were involved in a fight at the high school around 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 23.
The school remained locked down as a precaution until the situation was under control.
Chief Parker said parents were called to pick up the students.
No one was injured, according to Parker, and paperwork was sent to Strickland Youth Center for “primary actors for disorderly conduct.”
No other information has been released.
