Police Officers Catch Burglar Red-Handed

MOBILE, AL. On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 1:42 a.m., mobile police officers were dispatched to Jerry’s Fireworks, located at 7430 Theodore Dawes Road.
Police were notified of a burglary in progress at that location.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male subject on the property.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that entry had been made into the property.
After speaking with the owner, it was determined that no one should be on the property after hours.
Police took Anthony Hodges, 34, into custody and he was transported to Metro Jail.
He has since been charged with Commercial Burglary.
