Rollover Truck Crash on I-65 Injures Person in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. On Tuesday morning at approximately 8:12 a.m., the Escambia 911 dispatchers received several calls about a truck that crashed and rolled over on Interstate 65 near the 58 mile-marker southbound.

The county fire department, EMS, tribal police and ALEA responded to the scene and found that one person was trapped inside the cab of the truck.

A medical helicopter was also dispatched, and that area of the interstate was temporarily closed.

Firefighters were able to extricate the person who was then treated by paramedics and loaded into the helicopter and transported to an area trauma center.
His condition is not known.

ALDOT was also dispatched to inspect the bridge which also had been damaged during the wreck.
