MOBILE, AL. A Saturday evening traffic stop by an ALEA trooper took a turn for the worse as the driver refused to stop even though the trooper had his blue lights and siren activated.
As the trooper tried to stop the driver for several traffic infractions, a high-speed pursuit ensued as other law enforcement officers were dispatched to assist in the chase.
But it was a busy time for both the city and county police agencies as many were kept busy with various calls for service and preparing to assist with fireworks displays and the traffic that comes with them.
But officers soon joined the trooper and the driver was eventually stopped and taken into custody in the area of Murray Hill Rd and US 90 in the Irvington area of Mobile County.
The unidentified driver was taken to the Mobile metro jail and booked in.
