Weekend Shooting Reported in Elberta

ELBERTA, AL. A shooting was reported over the weekend in the town of Elberta and it may have been a suicide situation.
The emergency call came into 911 on Saturday June 20th, 2026.
EMS, local volunteer firefighters and law enforcement were dispatched to the area of the Crossroads Mobile Home Park near the intersection of County Road 95 and US Highway 98.
It was reported a sixty-year-old male had a gunshot wound to his head and that it may have been self-inflicted.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene, and the person was airlifted to a trauma center.
We have contacted the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and Elberta Police for further details.
