Mobile Police Investigating 2 Shootings Including a Homicide

MOBILE, AL. Mobile police are investigating several recent shootings in the Port City including a homicide in west Mobile.
On Monday, just after 5 p.m., police responded to Gaylark Road and Elmwood Drive, where the body of a male gunshot victim was discovered in the roadway.
The name of the deceased individual will not be released until next of kin has been notified, police said.
Mobile police also responded to a second shooting incident where one person was transported to an area hospital.
Police said that shooting occurred on Sunnyvale Lane West and that the person had non-life-threatening injuries.
