Driver Faces Laundry List of Charges After Police Pursuit

MOBILE, AL. On Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 11:35 a.m., officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle driving recklessly traveling NB on the service road approaching Cottage Hill Road.

Mobile police officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit.

Police said that the pursuit ended in the 2400 block of Karagan Drive when the driver eventually stopped.

Armando Powe, 30, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.

According to the jail log, Powe has been charged with:

M26-02-3102 POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

TR25-8770 NO CHILD RESTRAINT

EXPIRED TAG

TR25-8771 NO SEAT BELT
