Mobile Police Investigating Pedestrian Traffic Fatality

MOBILE, AL. The Mobile police department is currently on the scene of a fatal traffic collision.

Police, Mobile Fire-Rescue and other emergency responders were dispatched early this morning to the area of the 5800 block of Highway 90.

Police said that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and died on the scene.

The victim has been identified as Gregory Kurecki, 60.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was using a walker to cross Highway 90 when he was struck by a vehicle.

Police are currently investigating their nineth traffic fatality of the year.
