Mobile Father Charged With Endangering Children During Pursuit

MOBILE, AL. A father in Mobile jeopardized the lives of his two children on Sunday night after he fled the scene of a domestic disturbance at a high rate of speed and then led police on a pursuit.
According to Mobile Police, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Dickson Lane in reference to a domestic dispute.
As officers arrived, they observed a vehicle, later determined to be operated by Damian Law, 32, speeding off and turning off its headlights to avoid being stopped.
While speeding and leading police on a short pursuit, he drove recklessly and put his two children in danger, as they sat in the front seat of the vehicle, said police.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the male subject went to the location and started a verbal argument with the female victim. A detective responded to the scene to conduct a further investigation.
Law was arrested on charges of Menacing, Domestic Violence 3rd (harassment), Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Elude, and Reckless Endangerment.
Law was booked into the metro jail.
