2 Shot, 1 Dead At Prichard Apartment Complex

PRICHARD, Ala. Police responded to a report of a shooting on St Stephens Road Saturday that left one person dead and a second person with gunshot injuries.
Prichard Police Chief Walter Knight said that officers responded to 3425 St. Stephens Road, Whistler, Alabama 36612, at the St. Stephens Woods Apartments.
Upon arrival, officers learned that one victim had been transported by a private vehicle to University Hospital. That victim sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and is being treated.
The second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Prichard Police Department and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are jointly investigating the incident.
Chief Knight said that they are in the beginning stages of their investigation and that they encourage anyone with information related to this case to contact the Prichard Police Department or the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
