Gautier Man Sentenced to 80 Years For Child Sex Crimes

GAUTIER MS A Mississippi man found guilty of child sex crimes has received a prison sentence of eighty years.
26-year-old David Pace was sentenced by a judge to serve 45 years in prison and in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with the remainder on post-release supervision.
Pace was charged with was sentenced for two counts of exploitation of a child and one count of felony child endangerment.
According to authorities, the case began in May 2023, when a Texas investigator on an internet crime against children task force befriended Pace in a chatroom.
Officials said Pace shared images of young children, including one in Jackson County, being sexually abused.
Since Pace lived in Gautier, the Gautier Police Department was contacted, and a local investigation began.
Officers then searched Pace’s phones and found multiple images and videos of child sexual abuse.
“Our office is steadfast in holding anyone who harms children accountable. No one who harms a child should ever doubt that we will pursue justice with every resource available,” said District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath. “Protecting the most vulnerable is not only our duty, it is our unwavering commitment.”
The 45 years will be served day-for-day, without the possibility of early release or parole.
