7 Car Pile-Up Shuts Down Highway 98 in Magnolia Springs

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Ala. A seven car pile up in Magnolia Springs shut down the entire US 98 roadway that goes through the town for more than hour.
The multi-vehicle traffic collision occurred at around 5:45 p.m. and injured several people.
Multiple ambulances, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Magnolia Springs Fire Department and state troopers all responded to the wreck site.
One officer described the scene as chaotic with cars strewn about the highway.
One person was transported by ambulance to an area hospital while several others declined medical attention.
Currently ALEA is conducting an accident investigation.
