Woman Dies in Mobile Shooting

MOBILE, Ala. A woman who was injured in an assault on July 4th, has died from her injuries. The Mobile Police Department was notified of the death.
Patricia Odoms, 65, died on Sunday, July 13, at a local hospital after being treated for her injuries, according to Mobile Police.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of Matzenger Drive on July 4 at around 12:30 a.m. for a reported assault and police officers found a female with a gunshot wound.
During the investigation, officers found that a known male had shot the woman during a fight. She was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery.
At this time, the case has been turned over to the Mobile County District Attorney’s office, and they will investigate the shooting further and determine what, if any charges should be filed.
