Three Police Pursuits in One Day

BALDWIN COUNTY Ala.
October 3, 2024

Police pursuits Wednesday led by three different law enforcement agencies once again highlight
how people have no regard for other’s safety or the law.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction but it continued to drive down the road, disregarding the officer’s siren and blue lights.
Eventually, the driver put their four-way flashers on and exited the Interstate, and pulled over.

Several law enforcement agencies pursued a driver mid-day along a busy stretch of Highway 59 in Loxley.
The vehicle was being chased by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Loxley police, and other law enforcement, was eventually stopped, and one person was taken into custody.

A third police pursuit happened later in the evening with one person arrested.

Police pursuits in recent years have become very commonplace along the Alabama Gulf Coast in Baldwin and Mobile Counties for many reasons according to local law enforcement officers including the “Defund the Police movement, the disrespect for the law and the police, and a higher degree of disregard for the public’s safety or their own safety.
