Mobile County Jail Corrections Officer Arrested
MOBILE, Ala.
A corrections officer working at the Mobile County Jail has found herself in trouble with the law and terminated from her position.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office identified the employee as Stephanie Marie Carson and said that she has been charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 3rd (3x), Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd, and Attempted Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. The investigation is still active and additional charges could be forthcoming.
Carson was found to have violated Metro Jail’s policies by bringing prohibited items into the Mobile County Metro Jail. The breach of conduct not only jeopardizes the safety and security of both staff and inmates but also undermines the integrity of our correctional system.
