The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting
in a rural part of the county on Monday.

Deputies and an area volunteer fire department and ambulance responded to a home at around 4:00 a.m. on County Road 112 for a report of one person being shot.

The injured said that he was working on a firearm when it discharged and a bullet entered his leg.

Medical personnel treated him at the home and he was transported to a trauma hospital.

At this time the shooting appears to have been accidental.
