MONROE COUNTY Ala. A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, has claimed the life of a Monroeville man.

Bobby R. Kidd, Jr., 40, was fatally injured when the 2014 Hyundai Elantra he was driving collided head-on with the 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Henry J. Cook, 59, of Monroeville.

Kidd was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Cook was injured and transported to North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minnette for treatment. Rita R. Filler, 61, of Foley, a passenger of the Dodge, was also injured and was transported to South Baldwin Hospital in Foley for treatment.

The crash occurred on Monroe County Road 45 near Byrd Lane, approximately 12 miles south of Frisco City, in Monroe County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
