UPDATE: WILLIAMS HAS SURRENDERED TO POLICE.

DAPHNE, Ala. The man who police say fired shots at a local Walmart store after getting into a confrontation with store employees has been identified and is now a wanted fugitive.

The shooting, captured on the store’s surveillance cameras, clearly shows 22-year-old Jaquail Williams entering the store on Highway 98, carrying a baby and a nine-millimeter pistol.

Investigators said that when a Wal-Mart employee asked him to either cover the weapon up or take it to his car, an argument broke out.

“He concluded his shopping. They left and then he had a verbal altercation with two additional Wal-Mart employees in the parking lot,” Daphne Police Chief Brian Gulsby said. “Once they got in their car to leave, he leaned out the passenger side window and fired the pistol towards the building.”

Chief Gulsby said that arrest warrants for Williams charges him with reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm into a building.

The US Marshals are now on the case and searching for Williams, who is wanted on multiple felonies.

The chief said that store employees asked Williams to either conceal a handgun that he was carrying or take it back to his vehicle, but instead, Williams got into an altercation with employees and threatened them.

A woman with Williams began to drive away from the store as Williams hung out the window and fired at the store.

“Well, we’d like for him to turn himself in,” Chief Gulsby said. “If the public sees him, we would like to know his whereabouts.”
