Near Drowning Reported in Foley

A person who had gone to a local community pool early Sunday morning for a swim, instead found a man unconscious and not breathing.
The man appeared to be lifeless in the pool.
According to a call made to the Baldwin County 911 communications center, the man appeared to have drowned.
Several people hoisted the man out of the pool and CPR was started on the person while firefighters from the Foley and Bon Secour fire departments along with an ambulance were dispatched to the 17296 Tallasee Blvd. address.
The Foley Police and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office were also both on-scene.
A medical helicopter was dispatched and transported the victim to an area trauma center.
A resident said that the person was in bad shape.
At this time, the condition of the person is unknown.
