MOBILE Ala. On Tuesday, we told you about at least nine police pursuits in our area in just five days, and now we’ve added three more pursuits to that number, including ALEA and county agencies, along with one in Mobile that ended when the driver crashed their vehicle.

That pursuit began when officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped off at a high rate of speed, leading officers onto I-65 and then over to I-165 before crashing near Chin Street.

At that point, the driver jumped from the vehicle and took off on foot with officers chasing him.

Mobile police dispatched a K-9 unit and a drone to the area to assist with the search, and he was eventually found.

Police said the suspect tossed a lunchbox with drugs and his ID in it during the chase.

The driver was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail.
