MOBILE, Ala. Some may call it a crime of opportunity while others may look at it as an act of desperation.
Either way, it’s an unusual crime, said a Mobile officer.
On Friday, April 18th, 2025, police were called to the Foosackly’s Restaurant on Airport Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m.
Police were told that a female had broken into a vehicle in the parking lot of the business.
When officers arrived, they found that 61-year-old Susan Diane Welch had broken into the vehicle and stolen a debit card. She was taken into custody immediately.
Welch was charged with unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle and transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail.
