Bicyclist Struck by Car, Injured-ALEA Investigating

As we reported in our morning newsletter, there was a crash on Thursday night that injured one person.
Here are additional details to the wreck:
A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 6:25 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, has injured a Foley man.
The pedestrian, Patrick A. Bieber, 55, was critically injured when the bicycle he was operating on was struck by the 2024 Ram 1500 driven by William D. Landers, 24, of Foley.
Bieber was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. for treatment.
The crash occurred on Baldwin County 65 near Eureka Drive in Baldwin County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the area of County Road 12 South in the Bon Secour Foley area on Thursday night at around 6:30 p.m.
Baldwin 911 received calls about a bicyclist being struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a person on the ground reporting several injuries.
A medical helicopter was called and the patient was transported to a regional trauma center.
At this time the person’s name has not been released by we have spoken with ALEA and they stated that they are investigating this accident and will release more information as it becomes available.
