Arrest Made in Apartment Shooting

Police were called to the Dauphin Gates Apartments located at 3250 Dauphin Street on Friday, March 21^st of this year to investigate a shooting that took place on the property.

When officers arrived, they found that a person had been shot and he was immediately transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered a male subject threatened known individuals with a gun, before firing shots into an apartment unit striking the victim during an ongoing argument.

Police were able to identify the person responsible for the shooting and on Thursday, March 27, 2025, Cortez Goff, 31, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.

Goff has been charged with:

Assault,
DV Assault
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling
Menacing x2
Reckless Endangerment x2

He is currently being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail.
