69 Yr. Old Alabama Man Arrested With 800 lbs. of Marijuana

An Alabama man is facing a felony drug charge after deputies say they found him traveling with hundreds of pounds of marijuana.
According to Posey County authorities, they were called to assist a stranded motorist on Interstate 64 at mile marker 4.
Deputies say once arriving to assist the driver, later identified as 69-year-old Clarance Shipman, they found several trash bags in the cargo bay of the van filled with marijuana.
Authorities say Clarance Shipman, 69, is facing a felony drug charge.
Authorities said they ended up finding 800 pounds of marijuana and synthetic marijuana in Shipman’s van.
Shipman was transporting the marijuana, worth around $1 million, from Los Angeles to North Carolina, deputies said.
The 69-year-old was taken to the Posey County Jail, where he is charged with felony distribution of marijuana.
