1 Person Seriously Injured in Magnolia Springs Crash

A motor vehicle accident in Magnolia Springs on Sunday evening shut down US Highway 98 near County Road Nine and left one person seriously injured.

The two-vehicle accident was first reported by an off-duty Summerdale firefighter driving in the area who stopped to help the injured person.

One woman was said to have a broken leg and other injuries, and a medical helicopter was called to the scene.

The crash, which occurred at around 7:30 p.m., is under investigation.
