Mobile Police Department’s Citizen’s Academy Registration Available Now

MOBILE, Ala.

The Mobile Police Department’s Citizen’s Academy is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and it will run through May 26, 2026.

Registration remains open, and it will remain open until Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

The academy is free and open to qualifying Mobile County residents and nonresidents who work in the city of Mobile. Participants must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with no significant arrest history. All participants will undergo a background check.

These classes will be held on Tuesday nights, but there will be two Saturday classes required during the duration of the academy.
