ENTERPRISE, Ala. A petting zoo has been destroyed by fire, killing of the animals, according to the fire department.
The fire was reported at the Two BY Two Petting Zoo at 231 Co Rd 540 and by the time firefighters arrived, the business was fully engulfed in flames.
The petting zoo and “Party Barn was owned by Stephanie and Charles Jones for more than seventeen years.
The fire spread incredibly fast, and by the time help arrived, none of our animals could be saved said the owners.
“For those who truly know our family, you know this loss goes far beyond a business. Our animals were our livelihood, our passion, and our family,” Two BY Two’s statement continued. “Outside of our walk with Christ, they were our daily purpose. To lose what feels like the majority of our family in a matter of moments is a pain that words cannot fully describe.”
Multiple departments responded to the fire, including Enterprise Fire Department, New Brockton Fire Department, Enterprise Police Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
Fire officials said that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
“We are incredibly grateful to (these departments), and every single person who has called, texted, shown up, prayed, or reached out in love,” Two BY Two said. “Every act of kindness has been seen and felt more than you know.”
