FOLEY, Ala. The City of Foley announced this morning that they are taking proactive steps ahead of another round of heavy rains that could bring more flooding to the city over the weekend.
City officials said that they have set up a sandbag filling station behind the old public works facility on East Orchid Avenue. The city is providing sandbags, shovels, and sand.
There are several low-lying areas that are prone to flooding during heavy rain and we want folks to be prepared should severe rains come our way.
During this weekend’s rains parts of County Road 12 and Michigan Avenue flooded.
The sand will be available throughout the rest of the week.
