Driver Arrested After Crashing During Police Pursuit

MOBILE, AL. On Monday, October 5, 2026, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of I-65 S. and Government Boulevard, but the driver refused to stop.
Mobile police officers continued to pursue the driver, later identified as Camdyn Stoudemire, 23, as got onto Interstate 65 towards Interstate 10.
Mobile police said that Stoudemire lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a retaining wall.
Mobile Fire-Rescue and EMS responded but the driver nor any police officer was injured.
Stoudemire was arrested on traffic charges and a felony charge of Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement.
He was transported to Metro Jail and is currently confined there.
