Mobile Fire Truck Involved in Crash

MOBILE, AL. A Mobile fire apparatus was involved in a traffic collision on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, just after 6 a.m.
Mobile police and Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the area of 6008 Howell’s Ferry Road after a vehicle and fire truck collided, according to the Mobile Police Department.
A Mobile police officer stated that no one was injured but the road was partially blocked.
According to a police officer on the scene, a Ford Taurus reportedly sideswiped the fire engine. The roadway was then cleared up.
It is not known if the firefighters were responding to an emergency call at the time of the crash.
Police are investigating the crash according to Mobile Police.
