Multiple Vehicle Wreck Involving Motorcycles in Daphne Injure Several People

DAPHNE, Ala. A multi-vehicle traffic collision on US 98 in Daphne involving two motorcycles injured several people and partially closed down several lanes of the road on Tuesday, August 1, 2026.
Daphne patrol officers responded to the area of US 98 and Merritt Parkway at around 5:30 p.m., as did the Daphne Fire Department several Medstar ambulances.
Police reported that two motorcyclists had crashed and that the operators had been injured.
911 communication operators dispatched a medical helicopter to the scene to airlift one of the injured persons, but it was later canceled and all injured persons were transported by Medstar ground transport.
Daphne police investigated the cause of the collision.
