Dauphin Island House Fire Under Investigation

DAUPHIN ISLAND, AL. A house on the island caught fire on Sunday, June 28th, 2026, at about 1:45 a.m. which brought several fire departments to the scene.
Investigators say that a nearby neighbor spotted the fire and called 911.
Dauphin Island. Fire Chief Jeremy Tousinau said that the fire was near the intersection of Bienville Boulevard and Iberville Drive and caused heavy damage to the structure.
When firefighters arrived, they found the home with flames and smoke showing and immediately called in additional fire departments for mutual aid. Fowl River and Alabama Port Fire Departments both responded to assist in the fire suppression efforts.
The fire chief stated that the cause is under investigation. The chief said that no one was home at the time and no one was hurt.
