Mobile Man Sentenced to Prison For 2023 Murder

MOBILE, AL. A Mobile man who has been found guilty previously in the shooting death of another man was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Jaymon Johnson was sentenced after a jury found him guilty of murder, attempted murder, assault, shooting into an occupied vehicle and reckless endangerment during a deadly drive-by shooting in March 2023.
Mobile homicide detectives said that the shooting which occurred on Partridge Street killed Dajarra Jackson and put several teenagers in danger.
Investigators said Johnson opened fire on a parked car full of teenagers. Jackson was hit and killed while walking away.
A 15-year-old was grazed by a bullet, and other young people nearby were in the line of fire.
