Burglary Suspect Captured by Mobile Police

MOBILE, AL. Police were alerted to a burglary in progress and dispatched several officers to investigate. The information was that at least one person was seen inside a private property.

Officers responded on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at approximately 4:17 a.m., to the area of the 8000 block of David McCampbell Drive.

Upon arrival, police officers observed a male subject at the location.

Police detained the male and while conducting their investigation officers discovered the subject had removed copper wire from a home under construction.

Drew Forest, 34, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.

He has been charged with burglary and theft.
