LOXLEY, Ala. An exciting announcement for the City of Loxley as another business is planning on planting roots in their city.
A familiar company to many in Alabama and the south, Buffalo Rock Company has announced that a new $10M facility is coming to the Gulf Coast.
According to a joint news release from Buffalo Rock and the Baldwin Alliance, the state-of-the-art distribution center will be built in Loxley and is expected to create 100 local jobs.
50 of those jobs will be professional positions, while the other 50 will be in distribution and logistics.
The $10 million facility will be 25,000 square feet — 10,000 in office space and 15,000 in warehouse space — and will be situated on a 10-acre site, according to the release.
The new facility will help with distribution and sales.
“Buffalo Rock’s decision to invest in Loxley speaks volumes about the strength of Baldwin County as a logistics and distribution hub,” said President and CEO of Baldwin Alliance Lee Lawson. “This project brings a valuable mix of professional and distribution jobs, competitive wages, and long-term growth potential.”
The release said the design was created with future growth in mind, offering 15,000 to 30,000 square feet of expansion space, nine more loading docks, and up to 50 more jobs.
“This facility strengthens our ability to deliver legendary service to our customers every day,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Business Operations Officer of Buffalo Rock Wayne Wisdom. “Just as important, it creates an industry‑leading environment where our Employee‑Partners can thrive, grow, and do their best work.
“We selected Loxley for its established industrial corridor, accessibility, and long-term strategic advantages.
