I-10 Traffic Collision Closes Interstate

MOBILE, AL. A traffic collision in Interstate 10 at the Wallace Tunnel shut down traffic for several hours and injured the driver of a big rig.

The traffic collision on Saturday morning closed both lanes and snarled traffic.

Mobile police said that the driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police diverted traffic off the I-10 bridge to the Government Street exit.

The accident forced officials to close the interstate for hours to clean up the mess.

Police also conducted a traffic investigation but did not say of any charges are pending.
