Pedestrian on I-65 Arrested After Struggle With Trooper

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.
An Alabama trooper patrolling Interstate 65 northbound on Friday afternoon, March 13th, 2026, at around 12:15 p.m. spotted a pedestrian walking on the Interstate.
The trooper activated his blue lights and pulled to the side of I-65 to investigate if the person may have car trouble or determine what other reasons why he might be walking on the highway.
The person, later identified as,
, 26, was uncooperative, refusing the trooper’s commands and additional law enforcement officers had to be dispatched to assist the trooper.
The suspect was taken into custody and placed under arrest and transported to the Baldwin County Detention Center.
Nelson is facing charges of Obstructing Government Operations and Resisting Arrest.
