Mobile Police See Large Crowds-Multiple Arrests During Monday’s Parades

MOBILE, AL. Three parades rolled out in downtown Mobile on Monday, February 16, 2026, just hours after a mass shooting had occurred.
Mobile police officers patrolled the parade route and stay vigilant, making a number of arrests including four felonies, and five misdemeanor arrests.
MPD did not elaborate on the charges themselves, only their classifications.
Police also towed 22 vehicles from no parking areas.
The Mobile Police Department estimates the following parade crowd totals for Monday:
16,472 people attended the morning parades
129,360 people attended the afternoon parades
114,048 people attended the night parades
