Man Accused of Biting Mobile County Deputies During Felony Arrest

PRICHARD, Ala. FBI agents and deputies with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence to serve a felony warrant and during the arrest, 25-year-old Delando Perkins bit two deputies.
Law enforcement reported that the incident occurred on Cheha Drive in Prichard.
MCSO said Perkins, flipped his handcuffs, kicked the vehicle door and bit two deputies. Officials did not specify the severity of the deputies’ injuries.
Perkins who was already facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and second-degree marijuana possession now will also faces charges of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and attempting to elude law enforcement.
He has a bond hearing scheduled Monday, jail records show.
