New Silverhill School Opens This Month

A much-needed new school in Silverhill has been under construction for well over a year as many residents waited patiently for it to officially open its doors and now, that time is almost here.
The new Silverhill Elementary School is located just south of town on County Road 55 and construction crews are wrapping up the project this week.
The new school should serve the community well for a long time and has a capacity of over 1,400 students.
According to town leaders, the old school will be demolished and there are plans in the work to build a new “Early Learning” facility though nothing has been finalized.
