Mobile Sheriff’s Office Reporting 1 Person is Dead

Investigators with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting of two people on Saturday afternoon.

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch has confirmed that one man is dead, and a woman was rushed to the hospital after a domestic related shooting.

The sheriff’s department said that they were called to Glenwood Court in Wilmer on Saturday afternoon after shots were fired.

Investigators say a man, who has not yet been identified, shot a woman before turning the gun on himself. The female victim has not been identified publicly either.

MCSO says the man died on scene while, at last check, the woman is alive in critical condition. At this time, it’s unclear what led up to the shooting.
