At approximately 1:15 p.m. Friday afternoon Baldwin County 911 communications center received a call that a man was possibly having a heart attack on the side of the road in Silverhill.

Police and fire personnel were dispatched to State Highway 104 between
Silverhill and Fairhope.

Additional information revealed that the man may have committed suicide at that location.

The Fairhope Fire Department, Silverhill police, and EMS arrived at the area and found the person deceased.

A reporter from our news staff has confirmed further details from several law enforcement sources which confirmed that the man succumbed to his injuries from a gunshot.

At this time, we have decided not to release any further information
about this situation.

Earlier this week the Daphne police and fire departments responded to a suicide attempt/threat at the Daphne YMCA.
