Greer’s Family Developing New RV Resort Near Dauphin Island

MOBILE, AL. A new RV resort may be coming to Dauphin Island in the near future.
The family who owns the Greer’s Grocery chain said that they are planning to develop the project near their store on Dauphin Island Parkway but there’s a few steps to complete before any dirt is moved.
At this point, several applications have been submitted for various permits including one from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management which lists a construction stormwater permit for “Greer’s RV Resort” just south of Greer’s CashSaver in Bayley’s Corner.
The planned development would be located near the intersection of Dauphin Island Parkway and Fowl River Road on the eastern side of Dauphin Island Parkway according to public records but other specifics about the resort have not been made public yet.
A call to the Greer’s corporate office has not been returned yet.
