Semmes Man Indicted Previously for Rape Faces New Sexual Assault Charges

SEMMES, Ala. A man who has already been arrested for rape and sexual torture has now been re-arrested on additional charges.

Elijah Persons of Semmes was taken into custody on Friday and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail and is now charged with additional charges of 1^st degree rape and stalking.

New allegations have been made against Persons and reviewed by the Mobile County District Attorney’s office.

Now, a Mobile County judge has granted a motion to revoke his bond.

Persons began threatening the alleged victim, and police reports were filed alleging Persons was the suspect.

Persons is being held without a bond until he sees a judge later this month.
