Brewton Woman Dies in Single Vehicle Crash
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala.
One person died in an early Saturday morning accident according to Alabama State Troopers.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 5:40 a.m., took the life of Dorothy A. Spears, 76, when she was injured after her 2017 Toyota Camry that she was driving left the roadway and struck a culvert.
The crash occurred on U.S. 29 near the 13-mile marker, approximately 13 miles northeast of East Bewton, in Escambia County.
Local firefighters and an ambulance were also called to the scene.
Spears was pronounced deceased at the scene.
