Ambulance-Truck Wreck in Loxley 2 Persons Airlifted to Trauma Center

LOXLEY, Ala. A serious wreck early Tuesday morning injured at least two people according to Loxley police.
The accident involved an ambulance and a truck and occurred at around 8:55 a.m. near 12000 N. Hickory Street at the Raceway gas station.
Loxley police and fire department responded to the scene, as well as EMS and treated several injured people. They also called for two medical helicopters. Two of the injured were airlifted to a trauma center in Pensacola Florida.
According to a witness, the ambulance was T-boned by the truck but it’s not clear yet as to how it happened or who was at fault.
We are working to find out if the ambulance was en-route to an emergency call and what the extent of the injuries are to all involved.
