MOBILE, AL. On Friday, August 1, 2025, investigators with the Mobile Police Department concluded a citywide operation resulting in the recovery of roughly $60,000 worth of stolen property.
In April 2025, a white cargo utility trailer was stolen from a job site near the intersection of Highway 90 and Nevius Road.
The Mobile police responded and met with the owners and wrote a report on the felony theft and investigators began working the case.
The Mobile Police Department received a tip of where the trailer was located and executed a search warrant on Friday, August 1, 2025, which led to the recovery of additional stolen property inside of the trailer.
The stolen property includes power tools, a blower, speakers, a generator and other miscellaneous items of value. It was discovered the property was stolen from areas in our 2nd Precinct, 3rd Precinct and 4th Precinct. Following this operation, 5 cases are now closed.
On Friday, Cornelius Baker, Jr., 26, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
Additional arrests are likely as the investigation continues.
