State Correction Officer Trainee Arrested With Drugs

MONROE COUNTY, Ala.  A state correctional officer trainee, still on probation and employed with the Alabama Department of Corrections, was arrested in Monroe County on drug charges.

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Larry Wilson Jr. and determined probable cause to search the vehicle.

According to the Alabama DOC, Wilson was arrested during that traffic stop after he was found with 50 grams of marijuana.

The investigation led to Wilson’s Montgomery home, where a search warrant was executed and five pounds of marijuana and two guns were found.

Wilson was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Monroe County Jail.
