Foley Police Report 1 Person Shot-Suspect on The Loose
FOLEY, Ala.

An alert was sounded on the Foley Police APP alerting subscribers of a heavy police presence on South Pecan St Friday afternoon.
There had been a shooting downtown, and police were hunting for the shooter.
Now police are investigating a pair of incidents that they said they believe are connected.
According to the Foley Police Department, officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the 800 block of East Verbena Avenue around 12:15 p.m.
Foley police officers arrived in the area and found one person shot. EMS transported the person to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Around the same time, police received another call nearby from people saying that a man was running with a gun in his hand on South Pecan Street.
Foley police requested assistance from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and from Gulf Shores police and they set up containment in the area.
Officers searched the area for quite a while but could not locate the armed man.
Foley police said they believe that the situations are related and that the shooter and the victim know each other.
