Mobile County Health Department Employee Releases Medical Records to Woman Posing as Patient

MOBILE Ala. A woman from Georgia is facing serious charges after she posed as a different woman to obtain her medical records from the Mobile County Health Department.
Shantaya Presley, 32, called the health department posing as a different person and is now facing charges of identity theft and doxing but she could also face other charges. Law enforcement arrested her on May 22nd, 2025.
The incident may have never been brought to the attention of law enforcement, but according to court documents, Presley made the call while streaming live on Facebook.
During the call, the medical information of the other woman was revealed.
Presley gave the wrong birthdate of the woman, but the health department employee still released the information.
The Mobile County Health Department has not released a statement about the status of the employee involved in this incident.
